This site has just been launched and we are still busy to finish some things. We have tried to make a complete overview of our work with the correct text, do, still a lot has to be changed and added. So please be patient if you encounter, for example a mistake or a bad photograph.
We are a young company that specialised in high quality handmade jewellery. We are located in the formerly catholic girls school in Wageningen, locally also know as the “de wilde wereld” (the wild world). This building facilitates several companies like a bike shop, screen-printer, theatre, e.g.
I share my workshop Freek Aalten (www.freekaalten.nl) who I have met at the first company I worked for. It was my first job as fulltime goldsmith and he did his internship over there. I ferry much appreciate his skills and not less important it clicked ferry well to work with each other. So when he came to live in the neighbourhood I asked him if he didn’t want to work in this atelier because the atelier is big enough to facilitate us both.
Freek has his own work and style (totally different from the style I have) and in that I have to say we only share the atelier, the drive to create, and the jokes to keep the right atmosphere.
As can be seen at this site, we make about all the styles there are. Still, our own designs have the tension to have the influents of Jugendstil, Celtic/gothic and organic shapes. But always in there own style. The jewellery that is shown on the site are mostly unique pieces and therefore mostly a example of what can be made. When a piece is made in a series (what I will note when it is the case) still none of the pieces will be a copy of a other piece in the same series.
When a price is shown it means the piece is on stock or it is a indication of what the price will be. But mostly we make special pieces and therefore it´s to difficult to give a price on (already sold) listed pieces. This is because mostly we make jewellery upon request and a customer can request several things like used metals, stones (and quality of these stones),size, inscriptions and so on. Therefore it makes it important for us to first have a consultation with each other, so we can work out what it desired and what is possible. This is why, when you are interested, we ask you to contact us or leave your contact information so we can contact you.
